Pepper weevil were treated with gamma radiation at the pupal stage to investigate its impact on reproduction and quality. Male and female pepper weevils irradiated with 110 Gy as late‐stage pupae were effectively sterilized and also had decreased fecundity, longevity and spontaneous flight activity.
