9,10-Dioxa-1,2-diaza-anthracene derivatives from tetrafluoropyridazine

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2010
Reaction of tetrafluoropyridazine with catechol gives a tricyclic 9,10-dioxa-1,2-diaza-anthracene system by a sequential nucleophilic aromatic substitution ring annelation process, further extending the use of perfluoroheteroaromatic derivatives for the ...

Electronic structures and spectra of conducting anthracene derivatives [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2008
Theoretical studies on anthracene and a series of its derivatives were performed using the AM1 method and DFT. Based on B3LYP/6-31G(d) optimized geometries, the electronic, IR and NMR spectra of anthracene oligomers were calculated using the Indo/Cis ...

The estimation of anthracene derivatives in senna and rhubarb

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, 1965
Abstract An assay is described for the estimation of total anthracene derivatives in senna, rhubarb or their preparations. The extracted glycosides are oxidised by ferric chloride in aqueous solution followed by hydrolysis in acid solution. The free anthraquinones are estimated colorimetrically.
