OZONATION OF ANTHRAQUINONES

open access: yesSen'i Gakkaishi, 1984
Substituent effect on the ozonation of anthraquinones was discussed. Reactivity of anthraquinones with ozone increased as greater was the electron donative property of the substituent. When the unsymmetrical anthraquinones were ozonized, the remarkable selectivity of ozone attack on the both aromatic rings was observed.

The Direct Chlorination of Anthraquinone Oxime. The Regioselective Chlorination of Anthraquinone [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 1977
Abstract The reaction of anthraquinone oxime with chlorine in the presence or absence of a catalyst was investigated. In concentrated sulfuric acid, the direct chlorination of anthraquinone oxime takes place easily at 100 °C. The chlorination occurs selectively in the β-position in the absence of a catalyst and in the α-position in the ...

Pulsed‐Laser Ablation for the Synthesis of High‐Entropy Alloy Aerogels Toward H2O2 Production and Water Decolorization

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
This work establishes a universal strategy for fabricating compositionally complex solid solution alloy aerogels via pulsed‐laser ablation and the sol‐gel process. The electrocatalytic capabilities of these aerogels are subsequently evaluated for H2O2 electrosynthesis and water treatment applications.
