SJL Mice Infected with Acanthamoeba castellanii Develop Central Nervous System Autoimmunity through the Generation of Cross-Reactive T Cells for Myelin Antigens [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We recently reported that Acanthamoeba castellanii (ACA), an opportunistic pathogen of the central nervous system (CNS) possesses mimicry epitopes for proteolipid protein (PLP) 139–151 and myelin basic protein 89–101, and that the epitopes induce ...

Da‐Bu‐Yin‐Wan and Qian‐Zheng‐San Alleviate Parkinson's Disease by Activating the Keap1/Nrf2/HO‐1 Pathway to Positively Regulate Oxidative Stress

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 31, Issue 12, December 2025.
BYQZF treatment alleviated the oxidative stress damage through which BYQZF promoted the downstream antioxidant enzyme expressions of CAT, GSH/GSSG, NQO1, HO‐1, GCLM, and reduced the levels of 8‐OHdG detected in the plasma and midbrain. BYQZF treatment promoted the uncoupling of Keap1 and Nrf2 and the transfer of Nrf2 to the nucleus.
