Interaction Properties of the Periodic and Step-like Solutions of the Double-Sine-Gordon Equation

open access: yes, 2009
The periodic and step-like solutions of the double-Sine-Gordon equation are investigated, with different initial conditions and for various values of the potential parameter $\epsilon$. We plot energy and force diagrams, as functions of the inter-soliton

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Study of fractional order pantograph type impulsive antiperiodic boundary value problem

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
In this paper, we study existence and stability results of an anti-periodic boundary value problem of nonlinear delay (pantograph) type implicit fractional differential equations with impulsive conditions.

Anti-periodic solutions of Abel differential equations with state dependent discontinuities [PDF]

open access: yesDifferential Equations & Applications, 2017
Summary: Given \(T>0\), the Abel-like equation \[ \theta'=f_0+\Sigma_{j\in\mathbb{N}}f_j\theta^j \] is generalized to the case where \(\theta\) and \(\theta'\) are real functions on \([0,T]\) subject to given state dependent discontinuities. Each \(f_j\) is a real function of bounded variation for which \(f_j(0)=(-1)^{j+1}f_j(T)\).

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Existence and uniqueness of anti-periodic solutions for nonlinear third-order differential inclusions

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2013
In this article, we study the existence of anti-periodic solutions for the third-order differential inclusion $$displaylines{ u'''(t)in partialvarphi(u'(t))+F(t,u(t))quad hbox{a.e.

Wall and Anti-Wall in the Randall-Sundrum Model and A New Infrared Regularization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
An approach to find the field equation solution of the Randall-Sundrum model with the $S^1/Z_2$ extra axis is presented. We closely examine the infrared singularity. The vacuum is set by the 5 dimensional Higgs field.

Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...
