Ultra‐High‐Throughput Discovery of Multifunctional Polyphenolic Coatings on Droplet Microarrays

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An ultra‐high‐throughput (UHT) combinatorial strategy enables the miniaturized synthesis and screening of ≈30 000 polyamine‐polyphenolic (PaPp) coatings using droplet microarrays (DMA). This approach reveals hundreds of previously unknown fluorescent, redox‐active, and antibacterial materials, including multifunctional, cell‐compatible surfaces ...

A Dual‐Bioresponsive and Programmable Microneedle Matrix as a Bioinspired Coupler for Orchestrating Diabetic Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This project developed a smart bandage‐like patch (a microneedle array) for repairing diabetic bone damage. It intelligently senses signals from infection and inflammation, then releases its medicines in a specific, timed sequence: first an antibacterial agent, then an anti‐inflammatory agent, and finally growth factors.

Complex sliding characteristics of landslides and evaluation of the reinforcement with arched anti-slide piles based on 3D discrete element method: a case study [PDF]

open access: yes
Landslide movement processes often exhibit complex paths, introducing the uncertainty of landslide movement paths, and challenging landslide hazard prediction and pre-disaster prevention and control.

Nocturnal Intraocular Pressure Monitoring With a Soft Contact Lens Sensor for Glaucoma Management

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A soft contact lens sensor enables continuous, noninvasive monitoring of nocturnal intraocular pressure (IOP) under closed‐eye sleep conditions. By integrating a highly compliant inductive–capacitive circuit onto a commercial lens, the device achieves record sensitivity and stable performance.

Influence of Carbon Nanoparticles on Electrically Induced Wear of Grease‐Lubricated Steels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
When an electric current enters a pair of rubbing surfaces, enormous damage takes place. In this research, how such damage occurs in the presence of protective grease and the mitigation with added carbon nanoparticles, were investigated. It was discovered that those particles regulate transport and interfacial electrical stability of the grease ...

Analysis of shaking table model test on embedded anti-slide piles under earthquake

open access: yes, 2014
In recent years, the crust seemed to active frequently and the earthquakes never interrupt, which proposed higher requirement to slope support design. Embedded anti-slide pile as a new support form has got a lot of use in China. Restricted by engineering

Seismic Design of Reasonable Spacing between Anti-Slide Pole Board Wall of High and Steep Slope in High-Intensity Earthquake Region

open access: yes, 2011
The determination of reasonable pile spacing is one of the key technologies in anti-slide pole board wall design. The previous study on soil arch effect merely consider the action of long duration load instead of short-term load (seismic force). Based on

Calculation of design thrust and installation range of anti-slide piles considering localized instability of seismic slopes using the pseudo-dynamic method

open access: yesZhongguo dizhi zaihai yu fangzhi xuebao
Anti-slip piles are an important measure for seismic reinforcement of slopes. Determining the pile design thrust and installation position is a key prerequisite for anti-slide pile design.

Shadow‐Free Back‐Contact Perovskite Thin‐Film Detectors for Direct Extreme‐Ultraviolet and Soft X‐Ray Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A triple‐cation perovskite detector with a quasi‐interdigitated back‐contact architecture enables highly sensitive and linear EUV/soft x‐ray detection by minimizing electrode shadowing and enhancing charge extraction. Efficient interfacial carrier collection and rapid temporal response highlight the potential of back‐contact‐engineered perovskites for ...
