The participation of antibody in spontaneous and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity in the pig

open access: yes
Treatment of porcine lymphocytes with trypsin reduced their spontaneous cell-mediated cytotoxicity (SCMC) activity against target cells persistently infected with transmissible gastroenteritis virus (PK15-TGE cells), but had no effect on antibody ...

Pull‐and‐Push Nanotherapeutic Hydrogels: Scavenging Inflammatory Triggers While Driving Tissue Regeneration in Burn Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A nanounit‐assembled hydrogel employing a “pull‐and‐push” strategy simultaneously scavenges pro‐inflammatory cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and delivers regenerative therapeutics in response to burn‐induced hyperthermia. By repolarizing macrophages and promoting angiogenesis, this multifunctional platform accelerates burn wound healing, offering a blueprint for

A plug-and-play approach to antibody-based therapeutics via a chemoselective dual click strategy.

open access: yes, 2015
Although recent methods for the engineering of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) have gone some way to addressing the challenging issues of ADC construction, significant hurdles still remain.

Targeting Post‐Irradiation Thyroid Dysfunction: Electrospun Scaffolds As A Dual‐Action Approach for Antioxidant and Immune Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Radiation‐induced hypothyroidism follows head and neck radiotherapy due to oxidative stress and inflammation. Electrospun polycaprolactone scaffolds containing adenosine have potential to modulate thyroid repair. Scaffolds enhance thyrocyte proliferation, antioxidant enzymes glutathione peroxidase and catalase, reduce senescence and apoptosis markers ...

Coaxially Electrospun Myocardial dECM‐ Based Nanofibrous Scaffolds Demonstrate Enhanced Cardiomyocyte Biocompatibility

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Our coaxial electrospinning system is capable of incorporating decellularized myocardial extracellular matrix in a core‐sheath configuration, creating nanofibrous scaffolds. These scaffolds, in turn, support the maintenance of functional cardiomyocytes adhered to the surface of these bioactive scaffolds.

Multidimensional Cellular Micro‐Compartments to Model Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Dormancy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is an understudied subtype of breast cancer that is susceptible to late recurrences. In this study, micro‐compartmentalization techniques spanning multiple dimensions, including 2D, pseudo‐3D, and 3D, are integrated to uncover the mechanisms underlying ILC dormancy, revealing the central role of p27Kip1.

The influence of antibody sensitization on target cell selection in monocyte-mediated antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity

open access: yes, 1988
The role of sensitizing antibody in monocyte-mediated antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) has been investigated using human erythrocyte target cells and hyperimmune anti-A and anti-B antisera.

Chimeric anti-podoplanin antibody suppresses tumor metastasis through neutralization and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity

open access: yes, 2020
Podoplanin is a platelet aggregation-inducing factor associated with tumor metastasis, malignant progression, and cancer stem cells. We produced a rat-human chimeric anti-podoplanin mAb, NZ-8, from rat anti-podoplanin mAb (NZ-1).
