Antiacetylcholinesterase antibodies: Enzyme antibodies interaction

Pharmacological Research Communications, 1981
Summary Erythrocyte acetylcholinesterase activity of rabbits was significantly increased over control levels by immunization with acetylcholinesterase from the electric organ of the electric eel. The increase of enzyme activity and that of anti-acetylcholinesterase antibodies had the same time course, reaching a maximum level on the 35th day.

From antibodies to sperm to antibodies in transplantation

Urology, 1998
a) To assess the use of "panning" procedures for the detection of antibodies to sperm. b) To develop and use human monoclonal antibodies for the analysis of human transplantation antigens."Panning" assays were developed. The procedures and their use in the analysis of mouse monoclonal antibodies to human sperm are described.

Herpesvirus interference with virus-specific antibodies: Bridging antibodies, internalizing antibodies, and hiding from antibodies

Veterinary Microbiology, 2006
Herpesviruses have developed different tools to thwart efficient antibody-dependent neutralisation and lysis of virions and elimination of infected cells. This overview will briefly summarize different of these tools, including (i) viral Fc receptors and the resulting process of antibody bridging, (ii) internalization of individual viral proteins and ...

INTRACELLULAR ANTIBODIES

2001
A method of identifying at least one consensus sequence for an intracellular antibody (ICS) comprising the steps of: creating a database comprising sequences of validated intracellular antibodies (VIDA database) and aligning the sequences of validated intracellular antibodies according to Kabat; determining the frequency with which a particular amino ...

Recombinant Antibodies for the Generation of Antibody Arrays

2011
Affinity proteomics, mainly represented by antibody microarrays, has in recent years been established as a powerful tool for high-throughput (disease) proteomics. The technology can be used to generate detailed protein expression profiles, or protein maps, of focused set of proteins in crude proteomes and potentially even high-resolution portraits of ...

Purification of Antibodies and Preparation of Antibody Fragments

2005
Antibodies may be purified from serum, ascitic fluid, and tissue culture supernatant by a number of methods. Purified antibodies can be treated to produce fragments that may have enhanced properties for use in immunochemistry.

Antiphospholipid antibodies and the antiphospholipid antibody syndrome

Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, 1997
The antiphospholipid antibody syndrome is a multiple-system disorder characterized by persistently elevated antiphospholipid antibodies and/or arterial or venous thrombosis, thrombocytopenia, or recurrent spontaneous abortion. Anticardiolipin antibodies and the lupus anticoagulant are different classes of antiphospholipid antibodies associated with ...
