A low‐intensity resistance exercise with slow movement and tonic force generation (LST) training was shown to be effective for improving muscular function and glycemic control in older patients with type 2 diabetes. The change in HbA1c showed a significant negative correlation with the change in the muscle strength at high movement velocity.
