What Epigenetics Teaches Us About Neuron–Glioma Interactions
Neuron–glioma interactions through the epigenetic lens. Rewiring of epigenetic mechanisms, including alterations in the enhancer landscape and 3D chromatin organization, allows glioma cells to sense and respond to neural signals. Targeting the epigenetic machinery that facilitates this neuron–glioma crosstalk provides a strategy to disrupt the neural ...

Clinical and experimental studies on folic acid deficiency due to anticonvulsants. 2. Investigations on patients receiving anticonvulsants and experimental study on the effect of diphenylhydantoin on the absorption of folic acid in rats [PDF]
A high incidence of subnormal serum folic acid levels was observed in 48 patients receiving anticonvulsants (75 %). In peripheral blood, macrocytosis was detected in 46 % and an increase of hypersegmented neutrophils was also seen in 24 % of the patients.

Simultaneous determination of three anticonvulsants using hydrophilic interaction LC-MS.
A specific and automated method was developed to quantify the anticonvulsants gabapentin, pregabalin and vigabatrin simultaneously in human serum. Samples were prepared with a protein precipitation. The hydrophilic interaction chromatography (HILIC) with

Abstract Epigenetic regulation plays an important role in cell fate reprogramming. Here, we found that inhibitors of epigenetic modifiers, including VPA, TSA, and 5‐Aza‐2'‐deoxycytidine, can induce phenotypic transformation from Jurkat cells into B‐cell‐like cells. When Jurkat cells were treated with 5‐Aza combined with VPA, B cell and stem cell marker

Voclosporin‐induced gingival enlargement: A case report
Abstract Background Drug‐influenced gingival enlargement (DIGE) is a recognized adverse effect of certain medications, particularly immunosuppressants like cyclosporin and tacrolimus. However, there have been no documented cases of DIGE associated with voclosporin, a newer calcineurin inhibitor used primarily to treat lupus nephritis.

Promising Prodiginins Biological Activities
ABSTRACT Prodiginins are a large family of at least 34 pyrrolic compounds, including the well‐studied red pigment prodigiosin. Prodiginins are produced by several microorganisms displaying broad biological activities, including antimicrobial, antiviral, antiparasitic, antiproliferative, and immunosuppressive activities.

ABSTRACT In this study, the phytochemical content and various biological activities of Rubus sanctus Schreber species, widely distributed in Turkiye and used in folk medicine, were determined. The ethanol extracts of the root and aerial parts of the species were prepared and their bioactive phytochemical composition was identified by liquid ...
