A novel hydroxyapatite modified MXene-based hydrogel coating on Ti6Al4V alloy with improved biotribological properties and corrosion resistance

open access: yesFriction
As a commonly used bone implant, the Ti6Al4V alloy is prone to wear in the human environment because of its corrosion resistance and poor wear resistance, resulting in aseptic loosening and even implantation failure.

Where Most Frameworks Degrade: Flexible Bimetallic Phosphonate Crystals as pH‐Universal Supercapacitor Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 27, 2 April 2026.
Plastically flexible single crystals of the bimetallic phosphonate framework [Cu(2,2′‐bpy)VO(O3PC6H5)2] combine mechanical adaptability with robust pseudocapacitive charge storage. The material delivers about 140 Fg−1 at pH 4 and pH 10 and remains stable across pH 2‐12, enabling energy storage under comparatively mild electrolyte conditions.

Tuning Desolvation Kinetics with Perovskite‐Type Ion‐Conductive Modulators toward Low‐Temperature Zn Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 19, 2 April 2026.
A strategy of constructing perovskite‐type ion‐conductive interphase modulation layer is proposed to break down ion‐dipole interactions of [Zn(H2O)x]2+ to promote Zn2+ desolvation and diffusion kinetics against dendrite growth and active water‐induced hydrogen evolution reactions.

Anticorrosive protection of structures in robust design

open access: yesEastern-European Journal of Enterprise Technologies, 2020
The study suggests a method for determining the characteristic and desired values of corrosion resistance indicators to estimate the reliability parameters of systems of anticorrosive protection of structures (SAPS). The approach is based on developing robust (resistant to external influences) systems for designing measures of primary and secondary ...

Fundamentals of MXene Synthesis Steps and Their Characterization Techniques: Morphological, Structural, and Electrochemical Properties

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 7, 1 April 2026.
MXene phases are a family of two‐dimensional transition metal carbides, nitrides, and carbonitrides that have rapidly expanded to include over 80 compositions since 2011. Due to their exceptional electrical conductivity, tunable surface chemistry, and versatile functional properties, MXene phases enable applications in energy storage, electromagnetic ...
