Coherent spin dynamics and magnetization transport in nanoscale magnetism [PDF]
In this dissertation, we present a detailed theoretical analysis of the spin dynam- ics in small antiferromagnetic systems in view of macroscopic quantum phenom- ena, possible applications in quantum information processing, and transport of the ...

Ultrafast activation of the double-exchange interaction in antiferromagnetic manganites
In doped manganite systems, strong electronic correlations result in rich phase diagrams where electron delocalization strongly affects the magnetic order.

Antiferromagnetism and superconductivity in a model with extended pairing interactions [PDF]
The competition between antiferromagnetism and the $d+id$ superconducting state is studied in a model with near and next near neighbour interactions in the absence of any on-site repulsion. A mean field study shows that it is possible to have simultaneous occurrence of an antiferromagnetic and a singlet $d+id$ superconducting state in this model.

Ferromagnetic kinetic exchange interaction in magnetic insulators
The superexchange theory predicts dominant antiferromagnetic kinetic interaction when the orbitals accommodating magnetic electrons are covalently bonded through diamagnetic bridging atoms or groups.

S=1 Antiferromagnetic Heisenberg Spin Chain with Alternating Interaction [PDF]
application/pdfThe S=1 antiferromagnetic Heisenberg spin chain with alternating interaction is analyzed. Two phases are found. It is shown that the two phases are distinguished with respect to the string correlations.紀要類(bulletin)289770 bytesdepartmental

Coexistence and Interaction of Spinons and Magnons in an Antiferromagnet with Alternating Antiferromagnetic and Ferromagnetic Quantum Spin Chains [PDF]
In conventional quasi-one-dimensional antiferromagnets with quantum spins, magnetic excitations are carried by either magnons or spinons in different energy regimes: they do not coexist independently, nor could they interact with each other. In this Letter, by combining inelastic neutron scattering, quantum Monte Carlo simulations and Random Phase ...
