Non-silicone biocide-free antifouling solutions
The prevention of biofouling attachment and growth on vessel hulls and other immersed surfaces has, and continues to be, primarily achieved through the use of antifouling paints, which continuously release one or more biocides through the paint surface ...

SYNTHESIS OF ANTIFOULING, BIOFUNCTIONAL “ROMANTIC” POLYMER COATINGS [PDF]
Materials in contact with the biological milieu (biomaterials) spontaneously and nonspecifically adsorb constituent proteins which may lead to unwanted cell adhesion and responses or hinder device performance.

Acoustic‐driven surface cleaning with millimeter‐sized bubbles at translational resonance
Time‐lapse visualization comparing bubble trajectories. The top panel (0 Hz) shows a bubble's linear path under no acoustic forcing, while the bottom panel (50 Hz) demonstrates the oscillatory motion induced by acoustic waves at a resonance mode. This mechanism holds promising potential for applications such as surface cleaning.
