Molecular detection of latent feline leukemia virus infection using pol gene polymerase chain reaction in an enriched clinical cohort of Thai cats [PDF]
Background and Aim: Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) infection remains an important cause of morbidity and mortality in domestic cats. Conventional p27 antigen assays are widely used for screening but may fail to detect proviral DNA in cats without ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Single‐cell DNA methylation (scDNAme) profiling maps epimutational clonal evolution, revealing mechanisms of malignancy and therapeutic resistance across diverse cancer types. By providing a high‐resolution landscape of intratumoral heterogeneity, these technologies empower precise patient stratification, guide the development of enhanced ...

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

Synthetic peptides in the diagnosis of human echinococcosis [PDF]
Echinococcus granulosus and Echinococcus multilocularis are the two tapeworm species responsible for the majority of human echinococcosis cases. Infection of this zoonosis can be acquired all over the world by accidental ingestion of eggs. The prevalence
