B-cell receptor dependent phagocytosis and presentation of particulate antigen by chronic lymphocytic leukemia cells

open access: yesExploration of Targeted Anti-tumor Therapy, 2022
Aim: T-helper cells could play an important role in the pathogenesis of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), a common B-cell neoplasm. Although CLL cells can present soluble antigens targeted from the B-cell receptor to T-helper cells via major ...

Prostatic-specific antigen: An immunohistologic marker for prostatic neoplasms [PDF]

open access: yesCancer, 1981
Antiserum to a human prostate-specific antigen was raised in a rabbit and utilized by immunoperoxidase staining to evaluate its potential value as a diagnostic histologic marker for tumors of prostatic origin. All primary and metastatic prostatic malignancies reacted positively, whereas nonprostatic neoplasms did not stain with this procedure.

Differential Diagnoses of Systemic Mastocytosis in Routinely Processed Bone Marrow Biopsy Specimens: A Review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Diagnosis of systemic mastocytosis (SM) is mainly based on the morphological demonstration of compact mast cell infiltrates in various tissue sites. In almost all patients such infiltrates are detected in the bone marrow.

Aberrant T-cell antigen expression in a plasma cell neoplasm [PDF]

open access: yesBlood, 2018
![Figure][1] A 76-year-old woman presented with a lytic lesion involving the right ilium. A targeted biopsy showed diffuse infiltrate of atypical, pleomorphic plasma cells (panel A; original magnification ×1000, hematoxylin and eosin stain), positive for CD138 (panel B ...

Blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm: diagnostic criteria and therapeutical approaches

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, 2016
Blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN) is a rare haematological malignancy derived from the precursors of plamacytoid dendritic cells, with an aggressive clinical course and high frequency of cutaneous and bone marrow involvement ...

The distribution of epithelial membrane antigen in thymic epithelial neoplasms [PDF]

open access: yesCancer, 1992
Thymic carcinomas arising within a thymoma have been reported, but the relationship between thymoma and thymic carcinoma is poorly understood. Epithelial membrane antigen (EMA) is known to be an effective marker for establishing the epithelial nature of neoplastic cells, and it is reported that staining of tumors is clearly related to the degree of ...

Expression of mucin carbohydrate antigens (T, Tn and sialyl Tn) and MUC-1 gene product in intraductal papillary-mucinous neoplasm of the pancreas.

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1996
Aberrant or incomplete glycosylation of mucins results in expression of T, Tn, and sialyl-Tn (STn) antigens in various malignant neoplasms. MUC-1 gene product (a mucin core protein of mammary type) is known to alter or overexpress in several malignant ...

A metastatic secretory gastric plasmacytoma with aberrant CD3 expression in a dog [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A 10-year-old crossbred dog was presented with a 6-week history of hematemesis, melena, anorexia, and lethargy. Clinical evaluation revealed a gastric mass with a regional lymphadenomegaly as well as a monoclonal gammopathy manifesting as ...

Alpha-foetoprotein and carcinoembryonic antigen in germ cell neoplasms [PDF]

open access: yesBritish Journal of Cancer, 1977
Serum alpha-foetoprotein (AFP) and serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) levels were measured, serially whenever possible, in 70 patients attending the Institute of Radiotherapy, Rotterdam, on account of testicular (65) or ovarian (4) germ cell tumours or, in one case, an endodermal sinus (yolk sac) tumour in the mediastinum.
