Histocompatibility Antigens and Solid Malignant Neoplasms
Archives of Surgery, 1975To evaluate the relation between histocompatibility antigen phenotypes and solid malignant neoplasms, HL-A type was determined in 633 cancer patients and compared with those of 489 normal controls. HL-A8 was elevated in patients with squamous cancer, melanoma, and adenocarcinoma.

Estrogen receptor protein was found in 24% of colonic neoplasms. Presence of estrogen receptor activity was independent of age or sex of the patient, state of differentiation or spread of the tumor, and concentration of carcinoembryonic antigen in the tumor.

Carcinoembryonic antigen: its role in malignant extraintestinal neoplasms
Journal of Chemotherapy, 1997Carcinoembryonic radioimmunological research has attracted the attention of researchers, clinicians and oncologists for a number of years 1. However, its validity in the early diagnosis and the follow-up of a variety of cancers is still a subject of controversy.

Five novel cell surface antigens of CNS neoplasms
Journal of the Neurological Sciences, 1989Optimal monoclonal antibody-mediated immunotherapy requires the identification of tumor-restricted cell surface antigens. We have identified and partially characterized 5 new monoclonal antibodies generated against malignant astrocytoma, medulloblastoma, neuroblastoma and melanoma which were used to define 5 neuroectodermal tumor antigenic systems. Tumor antigens in neoplasms of the human parotid gland
Journal of Oral Pathology & Medicine, 1982In a collection of parotid gland tumors the presence of different antigens was studied by immuno‐histochemical methods. The series was composed of different tumors: adeno‐ and cystadenocarcinomas, adenoid‐cystic carcinomas, salivary duct carcinomas, mucoepidermoid tumors, squamous cell carcinomas and anaplastic carcinomas. The following substances were ...

Flow Cytometric DNA and Nuclear Antigen Content in Astrocytic Neoplasms
American Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1988Simultaneous flow cytometric DNA content and proliferation-associated nuclear antigen (p105) quantitation was performed on 23 astrocytic tumors and the results correlated with histologic subtype. Three of nine anaplastic astrocytomas and one of ten glioblastomas had an identifiable aneuploid peak, while all four well differentiated astrocytomas were ...

Proliferating cell nuclear antigen expression in central nervous system neoplasms
Virchows Archiv A Pathological Anatomy and Histopathology, 1991Proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) is a cell-cycle-regulated protein, which can be demonstrated in routinely fixed specimens. Studies on various tissues, cell cultures and neoplasms have shown that PCNA labelling index (LI) correlates with flow cytometry, tritiated thymidine LI, bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) incorporation and Ki67 LI.
