Tumor antigens in neoplasms of the human parotid gland

Journal of Oral Pathology & Medicine, 1982
In a collection of parotid gland tumors the presence of different antigens was studied by immuno‐histochemical methods. The series was composed of different tumors: adeno‐ and cystadenocarcinomas, adenoid‐cystic carcinomas, salivary duct carcinomas, mucoepidermoid tumors, squamous cell carcinomas and anaplastic carcinomas. The following substances were ...

Colonic Neoplasms

Archives of Surgery, 1977
Estrogen receptor protein was found in 24% of colonic neoplasms. Presence of estrogen receptor activity was independent of age or sex of the patient, state of differentiation or spread of the tumor, and concentration of carcinoembryonic antigen in the tumor.

Carcinoembryonic antigen: its role in malignant extraintestinal neoplasms

Journal of Chemotherapy, 1997
Carcinoembryonic radioimmunological research has attracted the attention of researchers, clinicians and oncologists for a number of years 1. However, its validity in the early diagnosis and the follow-up of a variety of cancers is still a subject of controversy.

Staining of Melanocytic Neoplasms by Melanoma Antigen Recognized by T Cells

The American Journal of Dermatopathology, 2000
We stained benign melanocytic nevi and malignant melanoma with antibodies to melanoma antigen recognized by T cells (Mart-1) to determine if this was useful in differentiating benign from malignant melanocytic neoplasms. Forty-five primary malignant melanomas and 71 benign melanocytic nevi were stained with antibodies to Mart-1.

Five novel cell surface antigens of CNS neoplasms

Journal of the Neurological Sciences, 1989
Optimal monoclonal antibody-mediated immunotherapy requires the identification of tumor-restricted cell surface antigens. We have identified and partially characterized 5 new monoclonal antibodies generated against malignant astrocytoma, medulloblastoma, neuroblastoma and melanoma which were used to define 5 neuroectodermal tumor antigenic systems. Preferentially Expressed Antigen in Melanoma Immunostaining in a Series of Melanocytic Neoplasms

The American Journal of Dermatopathology, 2021
Abstract: In their 2018 article, Lezcano et al [AJSP 2018(11):1456] show that diffuse tumor cell nuclear reactivity for Preferentially expressed Antigen in Melanoma (PRAME) is a feature of melanoma and that benign and atypical melanocytic tumors are PRAME negative or show only focal positivity for PRAME.

Flow Cytometric DNA and Nuclear Antigen Content in Astrocytic Neoplasms

American Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1988
Simultaneous flow cytometric DNA content and proliferation-associated nuclear antigen (p105) quantitation was performed on 23 astrocytic tumors and the results correlated with histologic subtype. Three of nine anaplastic astrocytomas and one of ten glioblastomas had an identifiable aneuploid peak, while all four well differentiated astrocytomas were ...

Antigens of experimentally-induced neoplasms: a conspectus

1978
Of the molecular changes associated with neoplastic transformation, the expression of tumour antigens has been the subject of special interest in recent years largely on account of the immunotherapeutic and diagnostic possibilities which their existence appears to raise1,2.

Carcinoembryonic antigen in human ovarian neoplasms.

Cancer research, 1976
The presence and location of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) was examined in tissue sections of 14 mucinous and 13 serous cystadenomas and cystadenocarcinomas of the ovary. CEA was demonstrated in the mucinous tumors but was not present in the serous tumors.

Characterization of renal neoplasms with monoclonal antibodies to leukocyte differentiation antigens

Cancer, 1986
Several monoclonal antibodies against human leukocyte differentiation antigens have been shown to react with normal kidney. Four monoclonal antibodies with different patterns of reactivity on normal kidney were tested against 20 renal epithelial neoplasms and 5 Wilms' tumors.
