Risk stratification using coronary artery calcium and potential benefit of semaglutide therapy: A cost‐effectiveness modelling study

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, EarlyView.
Abstract Aim Coronary artery calcium (CAC) scoring is observed to improve risk stratification for major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE). Semaglutide, a recently introduced anti‐obesity drug, is very effective, but wider use is limited due to high costs.

Dynamics of early electroencephalographic patterns and epileptic seizures in acute intracerebral hemorrhage: A prospective controlled study

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Acute symptomatic seizures (ASyS) occur in up to 30% of patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) when continuous electroencephalography (cEEG) is used, potentially worsening outcomes. Identification of early EEG biomarkers of ASyS may help guide personalized antiseizure medication (ASM) prophylaxis.

Exploring a Subpopulation of MASLD Associated With New Onset of CKD Using Supervised Clustering Techniques

open access: yesHepatology Research, EarlyView.
The supervised clustering of metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) using a SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP)‐converted matrix reveals distinct subpopulations that improved risk stratification for new onset of chronic kidney disease (CKD).
