This study in Western Iran analysed E. coli in diarrhoeic neonatal calves and identified 307 isolates from 350 faecal samples. The pathotypes included EHEC (36.59%), EPEC (20.42%), ETEC (14.46%), STEC (12.34%) and NTEC (11.48%), with four STEC O157:H7 isolates. Serotypes O103 and O15 were the most common.

This study highlights widespread antimicrobial misuse among Bangladeshi poultry farmers, driven by low AMR awareness (91.16%), non‐prescription purchases (48.98%), and reliance on dealers (reliance on dealers). Targeted education, stricter regulations, and surveillance are crucial to foster responsible practices and mitigate AMR risks.
