Recurrent cutaneous leishmaniasis: successful treatment with sodium antimony gluconate.
Cutis, 1986The case of a 15-year-old boy with recurrent cutaneous leishmaniasis is reported. Species identification was based on results of serotyping and isoenzyme analysis. The patient did not respond to rifampin combined with isoniazid or to ketoconazole. Subsequent therapy with systemic sodium antimony gluconate resulted in complete regression of the lesions.

Renal dysfunction in patients of kala azar treated with sodium antimony gluconate.
The Journal of the Association of Physicians of India, 1995We studied 27 patients presenting with renal dysfunction after Stibamate therapy. Eighteen patients were proved cases of Kala Azar, others of PUO. Out of 10 cases in whom Kidney biopsy was done, 6 had tubular necrosis, one had mild mesangial proliferation and 3 had normal picture.
