Evaluation of ovarian reserve using anti-mullerian hormone and antral follicle count in Sjogren's syndrome: Preliminary study

open access: yes, 2017
AimThe aim of this study was to determine ovarian reserve status using anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) level and antral follicle count (AFC) in patients with Sjogren's syndrome (SS)

Effect of Antral Follicle Count on in Vitro Fertilization Outcome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Analytical Medicine, 2014
Aim: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of number and size of antral follicles on ovarian reserve and subsequently in vitro fertilization (IVF) outcome. Material and Method: 44 patients treated with IVF in the Infertility Clinic of Zeynep Kamil Women's and Children Disease Education and Research Hospital (Istanbul, Turkey) were ...

Ovarian Matrisome Dynamics and αvβ3‐Mediated Regulation in Early Follicular Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 29, 22 May 2026.
The matrisome undergoes dynamic remodeling during early follicular development. Integrin αvβ3 mediates matrisome signals, regulating primordial follicle activation/atresia and secondary follicle growth via Hippo/mTOR pathways, with conserved roles in human ovaries, offering therapeutic targets for ovarian disorders.

Ovarian volume and antral follicle count assessed by MRI and transvaginal ultrasonography: a methodological study. [Elektronisk resurs]

open access: yes, 2014
BACKGROUND: Ultrasonographic measurements of ovarian volume and antral follicle count are of clinical importance as diagnostic features of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and as a parameter in estimation of ovarian follicular reserve in infertility ...

A Biomarker‐Driven Ovary–Endometrium Organ‐on‐a‐Chip Mimicking 3D Multicellular Complexity and Menstrual Cyclicity for Predicting Reproductive Toxicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 30, 28 May 2026.
We present a dual‐organ, biomarker‐integrated ovaryendometrium organ‐on‐a‐chip that recapitulates 3D tissue complexity, menstrual cycle dynamics, and hormonal crosstalk. This platform enables real‐time, cell‐typespecific fluorescent readouts of reproductive toxicity using ANGPTL4 and SERPINB2 as early‐response reporters.

Are all antral follicles the same? Size of antral follicles as a key predictor for response to controlled ovarian stimulation

open access: yes, 2021
The aim of this study was to evaluate whether antral follicle size has any value with respect to antral follicle count (AFC) in predicting ovarian response to controlled ovarian stimulation.

N4‐acetylcytidine in LncRNA Gm26917 Promotes Translation in Female Germline Stem Cells by Recruiting Ribosomal Protein mRNA via EEF1A1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 30, 28 May 2026.
This work establishes that ac4C modification on lncRNA Gm26917 governs its spatial interactions with Rpl10 mRNA, and RBP EEF1A1 mediates the interaction between Gm26917 and Rpl10. It elucidates a novel ac4C‐Gm26917‐EEF1A1‐Rpl10 axis in FGSC maintenance both in vitro and in vivo, and provides a potential molecular target for modulating germ cell ...

Potential Effects of Prepubertal Exposure to Perfluorooctane Sulfonic Acid on the First Wave of Folliculogenesis in Young CD‐1 Mice

open access: yesBirth Defects Research, Volume 118, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS) belongs to a group of synthetic chemicals referred to as per‐ and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) that are known to degrade slowly. Exposure to PFOS has been reported to cause birth defects and disrupt female sex hormone levels in mice.
