Enhancing Small Molecule Sensing With Aptameric Functionalized Nano Devices

Unveiling an ultra‐sensitive, non‐invasive neurotransmitter sensor. For the first time, a nanoscale sensor for detecting an important neurotransmitter was demonstrated using micro‐electromechanical systems (MEMS) technology. Our approach utilized field‐effect transistor (FET)‐based readout to enable pico‐molar detection of biomarkers in sweat.

A Central Somatic Transmission Mediates Proprioceptive Facilitation of Muscle Pain

Zhang et al. uncover a novel central mechanism for persistent muscle pain, in which TRPA1 sensitization in MeV proprioceptive neurons enhances somatic secretion. CRP Deficiency Rescues Periodontitis‐Induced Hippocampal Neurogenesis Impairment by Suppressing OPC‐Derived BMP4 Signaling in Rats

Advanced Science, EarlyView.
Chronic periodontitis elevates circulating CRP, which enters the hippocampus to upregulate BMP4 in oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPCs), thereby impairing neurogenesis and inducing anxiety/depression‐like behaviors in rats. Counteracting this pathway, CRP deficiency helps confer functional resilience to OPCs.
