Nitrification-denitrification in WSP: a mechanism for permanent nitrogen removal in maturation ponds [PDF]
A pilot-scale primary maturation pond was spiked with 15N-labelled ammonia (15NH4Cl) and 15N labelled nitrite (Na15NO2), in order to improve current understanding of the dynamics of inorganic nitrogen transformations and removal in WSP systems.

Equivalent topological invariants of topological insulators
A time-reversal invariant topological insulator can be generally defined by the effective topological field theory with a quantized \theta coefficient, which can only take values of 0 or \pi.

We present near-IR adaptive optics, VLA radio and HST optical imaging of the nearby Seyfert galaxy NGC2992. Spiral structure and an extension to the West are traced down to the core region at the limiting resolution of our near-IR images.

Innovation in prediction planning for anterior open bite correction [PDF]
This study applies recent advances in 3D virtual imaging for application in the prediction planning of dentofacial deformities. Stereo-photogrammetry has been used to create virtual and physical models, which are creatively combined in planning the ...

Combinatorial Calabi flows on surfaces [PDF]
For triangulated surfaces, we introduce the combinatorial Calabi flow which is an analogue of smooth Calabi flow. We prove that the solution of combinatorial Calabi flow exists for all time.

AOB - an easily deployable, reconfigurable and multifunctional acoustic-oceanographic system
The concept of an easy to use and easy to deploy ocean acoustic tomographic OAT system is presented. The system is composed of a network of buoys and a data inversion online processor. This study concerns the individual node of that network—the acoustic-oceanographic buoy AOB —the data inversion technique and the testing of the system at sea.
