The histone deacetylase inhibitor, suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid, restores blood–brain barrier integrity in a human stem cell‐based model of ischaemic stroke

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 183, Issue 19, Page 5791-5812, October 2026.
Ischaemic stroke is characterised by acute cerebrovascular occlusion and blood–brain barrier (BBB) breakdown. Our results indicated that the histone deacetylase inhibitor suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid (SAHA) ameliorated the loss of BBB integrity, changed the morphology of brain endothelial cells, increased the level of basement membrane and ...

Iron(II) and Copper(II) Ions Modulating Binding Interaction of Sugar‐Based Silatrane With DNA: Analytical and Theoretical Validation

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 9, September 2026.
A new D‐glucamine‐based triazolyl silatrane and its Fe(II)/Cu(II) complexes exhibit metal‐induced modulation of CT‐DNA binding. Experimental and theoretical investigations reveal enhanced binding affinity and conversion from groove binding to a mixed groove‐binding/intercalative interaction. ABSTRACT Research on molecular systems capable of interacting

ABUNDANCE AND COMMUNITY STRUCTURE OF AMMONIA OXIDIZING ARCHAEA AND BACTERIA IN RESPONSE TO PEANUT GROWTH UNDER CONTROLLED CONDITION IN SHANDONG, CHINA

open access: yesActa Scientiarum Polonorum: Hortorum Cultus, 2019
Based on a three-year field experiment under controlled condition in Ji’nan, China, the effects of peanut growth on the variation in the abundance and community structure of ammonia oxidizing bacteria (AOB) and Archaea (AOA) before and after peanut ...

Glomus iranicum var. Tenuihypharum as a Biofertilizer Modulates Soil Microbial Community Composition and Enhances Soil Carbon Dynamics in Nectarine Cultivation

open access: yesJournal of Sustainable Agriculture and Environment, Volume 5, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT The development of biofertilization strategies based on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) represents a promising approach to enhance crop productivity and soil health while reducing the environmental footprint of conventional fertilization. This study evaluated the effects of Glomus iranicum var.

Serpentine Biocrust Microbes Maintain Nitrogen Cycling Under Drought and Heavy Metal Stress

open access: yesEcological Research, Volume 41, Issue 5, September 2026.
This study highlights the complex interplay between soil geochemistry and moisture availability in shaping microbial communities within wetter and drier serpentine and non‐serpentine biological soil crusts. It demonstrates that both factors influence the structure of nitrogen‐cycling microbial communities and the processes they mediate.
