Compromising AODV for better performance: Improve energy efficiency in AODV
2017 6th National Conference on Technology and Management (NCTM), 2017MANETs became a principal research area as a promising routing protocol for a large scale of applications, due to its' behavior of self-configuring ability according to the infrastructure. Energy efficient in MANETs is a significant area in MANETs related researchers.

ACM SIGMOBILE Mobile Computing and Communications Review, 2002
In this paper AODVjr, a simplified version of the AODV protocol, is described. AODVjr is compared in simulation to a full featured AODV implementation. The results show that AODVjr performs as well as AODV and describes other positive effects of a smaller protocol specification.

S-AODV: Sink Routing Table over AODV Routing Protocol for 6LoWPAN
2010 Second International Conference on Networks Security, Wireless Communications and Trusted Computing, 2010The recent interest in tackling the distance-dependent aspects of the Mobile ad hoc networks is pushing a demand for distance awareness for nodes in reality. Unfortunately, most current network protocols do not deal with this aspect in a satisfactory fashion. In this paper, we present a method to compute the distance between any two nodes in MANETs and

Energy Aware AODV (EA-AODV) Using Variable Range Transmission
2012Energy conservation is an important issue in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) as most of the nodes are powered by a battery source which has limited energy reservoir and it also becomes very difficult to recharge or replace the battery of the nodes. Existing MANET routing protocols s. a.

S-AODV: An adaptive method for improving AODV protocol for WSN
2015 International Conference on Green Computing and Internet of Things (ICGCIoT), 2015With the current progress in communication technology, Wireless Sensor Network (WSN)s are extensively setup for plethora of applications such as defense, intelligent transportation systems, healthcare and many more. The limitation of sensor node is in terms of resources namely storage, power, processing potential and communication range. For the sensor

SP-AODV: A Semi-proactive AODV Routing Protocol for Wireless Networks
2008 International Conference on Advanced Computer Theory and Engineering, 2008Dynamic and efficient routing is one of the key challenges in wireless ad hoc networks. In this paper, based on a reactive AODV protocol, a novel semi-proactive routing protocol, named SP-AODV, is presented that uses proactive routing for some special nodes.

CM-AODV: An Efficient Usage of Network Bandwidth in AODV Protocol
2018 International Conference on Design Innovations for 3Cs Compute Communicate Control (ICDI3C), 2018Wireless communication is one among the vast areas of development. The communication networks are evolved from fixed infrastructure to non-infrastructure wireless communications. AODV is one of such protocol which deals with 'Route Discovery and Route Maintenance' are used to determine and maintain routes to subjective destination.

Adding reputation extensions to AODV-UU
2010 17th IEEE Symposium on Communications and Vehicular Technology in the Benelux (SCVT2010), 2010To tackle an inherent security weakness of wireless procedure onto the routing protocol Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector routing (AODV). This procedure relies on the overal cooperation of nodes taking part to the Wireless Mesh Network. Each node associates a reputation value to its neighbours, which reflects the trust it puts in them.

R-AODV: A Cognitive AODV Routing Algorithm in Wireless Network
2013Wireless communication system plays a more and more important role in many fields. Wireless network using traditional AODV algorithm only considers the minimal hop of all routes and can not meet specific QoS requirements. Some network resources will be wasted to some extend using traditional algorithm.

EQ-AODV: Energy and QoS supported AODV for better performance in WMSNs
2016 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2016Our contribution in this paper is to propose a new solution called EQ-AODV (Energy and QoS supported AODV) for better performance in WMSNs (Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks). EQ-AODV aims to improve AODV protocol and make it effective for multimedia data in WMSNs.
