Right ventricle to pulmonary artery coupling as a prognostic factor in tricuspid regurgitation: A systematic review

The TAPSE/SPAP ratio is associated with worse prognosis in patients with significant tricuspid regurgitation and could indicate at‐risk patients. The exact cutoff value for RV‐PA uncoupling remains difficult to define and in available studies ranged from 0.26 to 0.49 mm/mmHg.

Predicting acute decompensated heart failure using circadian markers from heart rate time series

Circadian metrics—amplitude, mesor, and acrophase—derived from a wrist‐worn heart rate monitor can predict acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) up to 21 days before onset. First evaluation of a novel pulsatile LVAD: Feasibility and haemodynamic impact in acute heart failure

The pulsatile ventricular assist platform (pVAP) was connected to a membrane pump in six large swine models. The system, driven by a conventional intra‐aortic balloon pump console (IABP), was utilized to drain left atrial blood during systole and to eject the collected blood back into the ascending aorta during diastole.
