Titanium metal coated with apatite (HA-Ti), albumin-apatite composite (AA-Ti) or laminin-apatite composite (LA-Ti) was prepared by the immersion of NaOH- and heat-treated titanium metal in a calcium phosphate solution, or one supplemented with albumin or laminin. Platelet adhesion to the obtained materials under flow conditions was investigated in real

Apatite and the Apatite Supergroup
Rocks & Minerals, 2020Most mineral collectors are familiar with apatite, a calcium phosphate, and know that there is a group of minerals with the same root name, which includes fluorapatite, hydroxylapatite, and chlorap...

Adsorption of water was studied gravimetrically at 23 degrees C in an open system at several relative humidities on a variety of apatitic calcium phosphates including enamel, deproteinized enamel, and bone mineral. The amount of adsorbed water increases linearly with the surface areas of the synthetic apatites and does not appear very sensitive to ...

The objective of this work was to develop nanocrystalline apatite (Ap) dispersed in a chitosan (CHI) matrix as a material for applications in bone tissue engineering. CHI/Ap composites of different weight ratios (20/80, 50/50 and 80/20) and with CHI of different molecular weights were prepared by a biomimetic stepwise route.

Hydroxyapatite, fluorapatite, and chlorapatite materials were synthesized and their sintering characteristics were studied. The compressive strength of the apatites was determined and is given as a function of density. Scanning electron micrographs of the typical material structure are given.

Wetted Apatite The long-running story of the dry Moon was rewritten a few years ago when hydrogen-bearing glass spherules were discovered. The highest water contents are found in lunar apatite, at levels suspiciously comparable to the water content of Earth apatites. Boyce et al.

Adsorption of oleate on apatite
Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration, 1987Adsorption experiments were conducted at two different solid loadings to investigate the mechanism of oleate adsorption on apatite. Adsorption density at pH 10 was found to be dependent on solids loading in an oleate concentration region where surface precipitation could occur.

We present Apatite, a new tool that aids users in learning and understanding a complex API by visualizing the common associations between its various components. Current object-oriented API documentation is usually navigated in a fixed tree structure, starting with a package and then filtering by a specific class.
