Quantification and ultrastructure of oosorption inEretmocerus eremicus (Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae)
Journal of Morphology, 2006The potential for and ultrastructure of oosorption were examined in Eretmocerus eremicus, a short-lived whitefly parasitoid that obligately produces anhydropic oocytes. In the absence of hosts, median egg load decreased by approximately 12% per day between 2 days and 8 days following eclosion.

Biological studies ofPteroptrix smithi [Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae]
Entomophaga, 1971The developmental history, longevity and fecundity ofPteroptrix smithi (Compere) are described and discussed. Both sexes develop as primary parasites ofChrysomphalus aonidum (L.). Developmental duration at 26°C averages 25 days and the average fecundity at this temperature is 26.5 eggs for unmated and 21.4 eggs for mated females.

The genus Proaphelinoides from India (Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae)
Oriental Insects, 1984Abstract The aphelinid genus Proaphelinoides Girault is recorded for the first time from India. A new species, P. anomalus, is described. Comments are given on two other known species, P. elongatiformis Girault and P. australis Girault, the latter species considered here as distinct from elongatiformis. A key to the three species is also provided.
