Distribution and tritrophic associations of aphid parasitoids of the tribe Aphidiini (Aphidiinae: Braconidae: Hymenoptera) in India [PDF]

open access: yesArthropods
The members of the tribes Aphidiini (Aphidiinae: Braconidae: Hymenoptera) are exclusively koinobiont aphid parasitoids and are widely distributed.

A new record of the genus Parabioxys (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Aphidiinae) and a redescription of Bioxys japonicus from South Korea [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Hymenoptera Research
The genera Bioxys Starý & Schlinger, 1967 and Parabioxys Shi & Chen, 2001 (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Aphidiinae) are each known to contain only one species worldwide.

Aphid parasitoids from Malta (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Aphidiinae)

open access: yes, 2011
Six aphid parasitoids are listed including three species which are recorded for the fi rst time from the Maltese islands, namely Aphidius funebris, Ephedrus persicae and Lysiphlebus confusus. Aphidius colemani, a species which was introduced for the control of greenhouse aphids, was also found for the fi rst time in the open.

Cross-habitat usage by crop aphids and their parasitoids in the cropnoncrop interface in an organic vegetable farm. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Plant-aphid-parasitoid interactions and parasitism rates were assessed in adjacent cultivated and noncultivated habitats in an organic vegetable farm in a chaco serrano woodland, Córdoba, Argentina.

Improvement in the cold storage of Aphidius ervi (Hymenoptera: Aphidiinae)

open access: yesEUROPEAN JOURNAL OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES, 2011
Biological control is beginning to be more commonly used, especially in greenhouses. The inundatory release of insects, especially parasitoids, requires a thorough knowledge of their biology and of mass-rearing techniques. Moreover, to synchronize releases with host presence, the parasitoids have to be kept in cold storage.

Correlation between Aphids, Aphidiinae and Hyperparasitoids in Different Habitats [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Aphids are one of the major pests of economical crops in China. Field surveys showed that Macrosiphum avence, Rhopalosiphum padi, Schizaphis graminum, Myzus persicae, Aphis glycines and Lipaphis erysimi are the main aphid species found in agricultural ...

Survey of the Aphid Parasitoids (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Aphidiinae) of Costa Rica with Information on Their Aphid (Hemiptera: Aphidoidea): Plant Associations

open access: yesPsyche: A Journal of Entomology, 2010
Species of Aphidiinae (Braconidae) have never been surveyed in Central America. Here we present the results of an initial inventory of the aphidiine species of Costa Rica and record the presence of ten species (four undetermined), in six genera.

The influence of plant fertilisation regime on plant-aphid-parasitoid interactions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
This thesis examines effects of plant fertilisation regime on herbivore and parasitoid performance for two aphids, Macrosiphum euphorbiae and Myzus persicae, and one parasitoid wasp, Aphidius ervi. Herbivore performance was measured as adult fresh weight

Genetic Similarities Among Geographic Isolates of Lysiphlebus testaceipes (Hymenoptera: Aphidiidae) Differing in Cold Temperature Tolerances [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Lysiphlebus testaceipes (Cresson) is a solitary endoparasitoid of aphids and is the primary parasitoid attacking cereal aphids in the Great Plains, especially Schizaphis graminum (Rondani). In a previous study, it was found that a Lincoln, NE, isolate of
