Microbiome diversity of cotton aphids (Aphis gossypii) is associated with host alternation
Aphids are infected by a series of bacteria that can help them survive on specific host plants. However, the associations between aphids and these bacteria are not clear, and the bacterial communities in many aphid species are poorly characterized. Here,

Aphids provide a good model system to understand the ecological speciation concept, since the majority of the species are host-specific, and they spend their entire lifecycle on certain groups of host plants.

New Measurements and Phase Shift Analysis of p16O Elastic Scattering at Astrophysical Energies [PDF]
The results of new experimental measurements of p16O elastic scattering in the energy range of 0.6-1.0 MeV at angles of 40-160 deg. are given. Phase shift analysis of p16O elastic scattering was made using these and other experimental data on differential cross sections in excitation functions and angular distributions at energies of up to 2.5 MeV.

Aphidiinae (Hymenoptera, Braconidae) aphid parasitoids of Malta : review and key to species [PDF]
This paper brings an annotated list of the 16 aphid parasitoids detected up to 2015 in Malta. All the species were reared from identified aphid-plant associations. An illustrated key to the identification of the recorded species from Malta is provided.

Study of the nucleon radiative captures 8Li(n,gamma)9Li, 9Be(p,gamma)10B, 10Be(n,gamma)11Be, 10B(p,gamma)11C, and 16O(p,gamma)17F at thermal and astrophysical energies [PDF]
We have studied the neutron-capture reactions 8Li(n,gamma)9Li and its role in the primordial nucleosynthesis. The n + 8Li --> 9Li + gamma reaction has a significant astrophysical interest because it includes one of the variants of chain of primordial nucleosynthesis processes of the Universe and thermonuclear reactions in type II supernova.

New results for the astrophysical S-factor and reaction rate of radiative 3He4He capture [PDF]
In the frame of modified potential cluster model based on the classification of orbital states by Young diagrams and revised interaction potential parameters for the bound states of 7Be in 3He4He cluster model with forbidden states the astrophysical S-factor for the radiative capture reaction has been calculated from the 10 keV.

Inheritance of resistance to cotton blue disease [PDF]
The objective of this work was to determine the inheritance of cotton blue disease resistance by cotton plants. Populations derived from the CD 401 and Delta Opal resistant varieties were evaluated, through a greenhouse test with artificial inoculation ...
