Copper Nanowire‐Immobilized Coatings for Antibacterial Application

open access: yesParticle &Particle Systems Characterization, EarlyView.
Bacterial contamination on inanimate surfaces poses major risks to human health. Here, an antimicrobial coating is developed by immobilizing Cu NWs using a mussel‐inspired PDA coating technique. The coating exhibits strong antibacterial activity against both gram‐positive and gram‐negative bacteria, demonstrating the potential for reducing microbial ...

Proteomic Investigation of Human Dental Pulp to Identify Individuals Who Are Pregnant

open access: yesPROTEOMICS – Clinical Applications, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Biomolecules preserved in dental pulp are increasingly being used to identify individuals in the context of forensics and archaeology. Despite the vast amount of research into host and pathogen DNA, the potential use of physiologically informative proteins preserved in dental pulp has rarely been studied.

Massive Infiltrative Osteolysis of the Mandible in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma: A Case Report with a Review of the Literature

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
Abstract Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC) is the most prevalent form of oral cancer, constituting over 90% of reported cases. This malignancy commonly infiltrates bone, making bone invasion a significant clinical issue. OSCC may invade bone via either an infiltrative or erosive pattern, with the pattern of invasion closely correlating with the ...

Mechanistic Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic Modeling of Dry Powder and Nebulized Formulations of Orally Inhaled TMEM16A Potentiator GDC‐6988

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The orally inhaled route of administration for respiratory indications can maximize drug exposure to the site of action (lung) to increase efficacy while minimizing systemic exposure to achieve an improved safety profile. However, due to the difficulty of taking samples from different regions of the human lung, often only systemic ...

Update on Gene Therapy in the Treatment of Hereditary Hearing Loss

open access: yesSensory Neuroscience, EarlyView.
Gene therapy is a promising therapeutic approach for genetic disorders, including three major gene therapy strategies: gene replacement, gene suppression, and gene editing. After transmitting genes to the inner ear through appropriate pathways, repair the cochlea in order to achieve the goal of treating hereditary hearing loss.
