Carcinoma of Apocrine Glands

A.M.A. Archives of Dermatology, 1958
Reports on apocrine gland carcinoma are very scant in the literature. This fact can be attributed mainly to three factors. Firstly, the apocrine type of sweat gland is normally distributed in only a few areas of the body and the glands are few in number. Secondly, while benign tumors of the apocrine glands are not too uncommon, the malignant variety is

Anal Apocrine Carcinoma

The American Journal of Dermatopathology, 2012

Apocrine lesions of the breast: part 2 of a two-part review. Invasive apocrine carcinoma, the molecular apocrine signature and utility of immunohistochemistry in the diagnosis of apocrine lesions of the breast

Journal of Clinical Pathology, 2018
Pure apocrine carcinoma of the breast is rare and has been defined by using a combination of morphologic (apocrine morphology in >90% of tumour cells) and immunohistochemical criteria (oestrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PR) negative and ...

Apocrine differentiation in human mammary carcinoma

Cancer, 1980
Six invasive carcinomas that contained apocrine differentiation as the primary morphologic pattern were selected from a series of 1500 prospectively examined breast carcinomas (0.4%). While apocrine features were seen in many breast tumors, these six cases were identified by uniformly fine granular, pale, eosinophilic cytoplasm with apical cytoplasmic ...

A Case of Apocrine Carcinoma.

Nishi Nihon Hifuka, 2001

Histiocytoid breast carcinoma: an apocrine variant of lobular carcinoma

Histopathology, 1989
Two cases of in situ and invasive histiocytoid breast carcinoma are described. The invasive components of both tumours showed architectural and cytological similarities to lobular carcinoma. The in situ components showed areas of classical lobular carcinoma in situ, areas of lobular carcinoma with apocrine features and areas with transitional features.
