Axillary apocrine carcinoma associated with apocrine adenoma and apocrine gland hyperplasia.

open access: yesActa dermatovenerologica Croatica : ADC, 2007
Apocrine carcinomas represent a rare group of tumors with a potential for destructive local invasion, regional and distant metastases, and are equally common in both sexes. A case of a 79-year-old woman with axillary apocrine carcinoma associated with apocrine adenoma and apocrine gland hyperplasia is presented. To our knowledge, this is the first case

Apocrine hidrocystomas: An unusual case presentation and review of literature

open access: yesJournal of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, 2019
Apocrine hidrocystomas (AHs) are cystic benign lesions of the skin that originates from the apocrine sweat glands. It is usually solitary and occasionally multiple. Herein, we report an unusual case of multiple apocrine hidrocystomas. A 65-year-old Saudi

A case of renal cell carcinoma found through skin metastasis in a dog

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 1, February 2026.
Abstract A French bulldog presenting with a skin mass was found to have an enlarged left kidney on a preoperative systemic examination. The left kidney and skin mass were surgically removed. Histopathological and immunohistochemical analyses identified the enlarged left kidney as renal cell carcinoma, with the skin mass likely representing a metastatic

Human axillary apocrine glands: proteins involved in the apocrine secretory mechanism.

open access: yesHistology and histopathology, 2010
The apocrine secretory mechanism is a mode of secretion by which the apical part of the cell cytoplasm is pinched off, which leads to the formation of an aposome. The distinct mechanism of formation and decapitation of the aposome is not well investigated. Only few proteins are known that are involved in this secretory mechanism.

Dacarbazine as a Positive Control in Melanoma Cell Lines (A375, SK‐MEL‐103, 1205Lu) and a Human Ex Vivo Skin Model

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, Volume 10, Issue 1, January 2026.
The work seeked to demonstrate the drug Dacarbazine as a positive control for toxicity tests in immortalized skin cells (keratinocytes and fibroblasts) and in different neoplastic cell lines, through the assay with resazurin. In addition, an alternative model to replace animals in experimental studies, using skin explant culture (hOSEC ‐ human ...

Biochemical and haemostatic variables associated with metastasis in dogs with carcinoma or sarcoma

open access: yesJournal of Small Animal Practice, Volume 67, Issue 1, Page 47-58, January 2026.
Objectives Identify alterations in biochemical and haemostatic variables between tumour‐bearing dogs with and without metastasis that can be used to predict the presence of metastasis. Materials and Methods Thirty dogs with sarcoma and 29 with carcinoma were included in the analysis.
