Local Maintenance and Genomic Diversity of Lymphocytic Choriomeningitis Virus in Natural Populations of House Mice in the Czech Republic Over a 24‐Year Period

open access: yesZoonoses and Public Health, Volume 73, Issue 1, Page 107-112, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) is a neglected rodent‐borne zoonotic virus primarily infecting house mice. The virus can be highly pathogenic, particularly in immunocompromised individuals and in congenital infections. LCMV is distributed worldwide but shows local clustering, probably due to the highly structured populations of its ...

Capillaria Hhepatica in Mouse (Apodemus flavicollis) from Giresun Province of Turkey

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Parasitology, 2014
Capillaria hepatica is a nematode with worldwide distribution, which can cause parasitic hepatitis both in animals and humans. A mouse (Apodemus flavicollis), trapped in Giresun Province was diagnosed as having capillariasis due to the characteristic eggs found in its liver.

Morphotypic, craniometric and genotypic diversification in Apodemus flavicollis and Apodemus sylvaticus [PDF]

open access: yesBollettino di zoologia, 1994
Abstract Some aspects of genetic and morphologic diversification in two Italian rodent species (Apodemus flavicollis and Apodemus sylvaticus) were analyzed. The individual‐centered approach used consists of the analysis of morphotypic, craniometric and genotypic diversity.

Fecal corticosterone metabolite levels in two closely related rodent species in a sub‐Mediterranean environment

open access: yesWildlife Biology, Volume 2025, Issue 6, November 2025.
Glucocorticoids regulate many physiological functions and play an important role in coping with challenging stimuli. The non‐invasive assessment of glucocorticoids is increasingly used as a tool to evaluate individual and population health status in wild animals.

Trapping of Apodemus flavicollis and Clethrionomys glareolus into a double trap [PDF]

open access: yesActa Theriologica, 1971

Microhabitat partitioning of Apodemus flavicollis and Myodes glareolus in the sub-montane Alps: a preliminary assessment

open access: yesHystrix, the Italian Journal of Mammalogy, 2011
Interspecific competition can cause partitioning in habitat use by sympatric species. This study gives a preliminary contribution to the understanding of microhabitat partitioning of Apodemus flavicollis and Myodes ...

Giardia duodenalis in Rodents: A Global Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 5, September 2025.
‐ Giardia duodenalis (also known as G. lamblia or G. intestinalis) is a globally distributed protozoan with zoonotic potential. ‐ This systematic review and meta‐analysis aimed to determine the global molecular prevalence and genotypic distribution of G. duodenalis in rodents, based exclusively on studies using molecular diagnostic techniques. ABSTRACT
