Targeting Lactate and Lactylation in Cancer Metabolism and Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lactate, once deemed a metabolic waste, emerges as a central regulator of cancer progression. This review elucidates how lactate and its epigenetic derivative, protein lactylation, orchestrate tumor metabolism, immune suppression, and therapeutic resistance.

Distribution, transport, and degradation of apolipoprotein B-100 in HepG2 cells

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2001
The transport of apolipoprotein B (apoB) between the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and Golgi was studied in puromycin-synchronized HepG2 cells, using an antibody that could distinguish between apoB in ER and Golgi compartments.

The Alzheimer variant of Lewy body disease: A pathologically confirmed case-control study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The objective of the study was to identify clinical features that distinguish patients with dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), who were classified as Alzheimer's disease ( AD) patients, from patients with AD.

Neuroprotective Nanoplatform Integrating Antioxidant MXene Nanozymes and Ferroptosis Inhibitors for Targeted Therapy of Cerebral Ischemia‐Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cerebral ischemia‐reperfusion injury (CIRI) is a key pathological process limiting the efficacy of stroke therapy. This study has developed an innovative, multifunctional, brain‐targeted nanoplatform (RFP) containing MXene nanoenzymes and ferroptosis inhibitors.

Crossing the Blood–Brain Barrier with Molecularly Imprinted Polymeric Nanocarriers: An Emerging Frontier in Brain Disease Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Molecularly imprinted polymeric nanocarriers (nanoMIPs) offer robust, antibody‐mimetic platforms to overcome the blood‐brain barrier. The article surveys nanoMIP design and ligand‐directed surface engineering that harness receptor‐mediated transcytosis, and highlights therapeutic and diagnostic applications in neurodegeneration, brain tumors and ...

Multi‐View Biomedical Foundation Models for Molecule‐Target and Property Prediction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Molecular foundation models can provide accurate predictions for a large set of downstream tasks. We develop MMELON, an approach that integrates pre‐trained graph, image, and text foundation models and validate our multi‐view model on over 120 tasks, including GPCR binding.

Separation and quantification of apolipoprotein B-48 and other apolipoproteins by dynamic sieving capillary electrophoresis

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1997
Apolipoprotein-B-48 is a structural protein exclusively associated with post-prandial lipoproteins (chylomicrons). Apolipoprotein B-48 would be a useful marker to monitor the kinetics of chylomicrons in vivo, however, its quantitation is limited because ...
