Tumor Microenvironment On‐A‐Chip and Single‐Cell Analysis Reveal Synergistic Stromal–Immune Crosstalk on Breast Cancer Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using a 3D tumor microenvironment (TME)‐on‐a‐chip model, tumor–stromal–immune crosstalk in triple‐negative breast cancer is studied, revealing the TME's combinatorial effect on cancer progression. Integrating single‐cell transcriptomic analysis demonstrates metabolic reprogramming via the kynurenine pathway, highlighting the complex TME cellular ...

Single‐Cell Atlas Reveals Tumorigenic Profiles and Immune Dynamics of Adrenal Incidentalomas

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell RNA sequencing reveals cellular heterogeneity in adrenal incidentalomas, identifying distinct tumor cell populations. Clusterin is recognized as a biomarker for adrenocortical tumors, correlating with established markers. MYCN‐positive clusters in pheochromocytomas indicated poorer survival.

Stilbene‐based derivatives as potential inhibitors of trimethylamine (TMA)‐lyase affect gut microbiota in coronary heart disease

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 11, Issue 1, Page 93-100, January 2023., 2023
Docking results showed Resveratroloside had the highest Vina score, indicating that it was the most active and might be employed as a lead molecule for further structural modification. The possible action process of TMA‐Lyase lead compound was described, which further affects the occurrence and development of CHD.

Multidimensional profiling of plasma lipoproteins by size exclusion chromatography followed by reverse-phase protein arrays

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2011
The composition of lipoproteins and the association of proteins with various particles are of much interest in the context of cardiovascular disease. Here, we describe a technique for the multidimensional analysis of lipoproteins and their associated ...

Accumulation of Damaging Lipids in the Arf1‐Ablated Neurons Promotes Neurodegeneration through Releasing mtDNA and Activating Inflammatory Pathways in Microglia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Arf1 defects activate the AKT‐mTORC1‐SREBP1‐FASN pathway to increase lipid synthesis and disrupt ER‐mitochondrial‐lysosomal homeostasis in neurons. Impaired mitochondria secrete damaged mtDNA via mitochondria‐derived extracellular vesicles, which is phagocytosed by the microglia and activated inflammation signaling.

Tongxinluo enhances the effect of atorvastatin on the treatment of atherosclerosis with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease by maintaining the pulmonary microvascular barrier

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 11, Issue 1, Page 390-407, January 2023., 2023
COPD aggravates AS, possibly through the destruction of pulmonary microvascular barrier function; thus, lung inflammation triggers systemic inflammation. In treating COPD with AS, TXL enhances the antiatherosclerotic effect of Ato, protecting the pulmonary microvascular barrier.

Apolipoprotein E allelic influence on human cerebrospinal fluid apolipoproteins

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1998
The major apolipoproteins (apo) on human cerebrospinal fluid lipoproteins are apoA-I and apoE. Given the association between inheritance of the ε4 allele of the apoE gene (APOE4) and increased susceptibility to Alzheimer's disease, we tested the ...

Engineering the Immune Response to Biomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This paper reviews immune responses to biomaterials, stages of evolution in relation to managing these responses ranging from preventing to modulating them. It also discusses state‐of‐the‐art strategies to modulate these responses and modes of their delivery.

Retinal regions shape human and murine Müller cell proteome profile and functionality

open access: yesGlia, Volume 71, Issue 2, Page 391-414, February 2023., 2023
Main Points We defined Müller cells heterogeneity in the macular and peripheral human retina. Signaling pathways shaping this glial heterogeneity include proteins important for interaction with vesicular secretion, extracellular matrix and cell adhesion.
