A Simple and Accurate Apollo-Trained Neural Network Controller for Mars Atmospheric Entry
We present a new method to design the controller for Mars capsule atmospheric entry using deep neural networks and flight-proven Apollo entry data. The controller is trained to modulate the bank angle with data from the Apollo entry simulations.

Abstract BACKGROUND Grapevine phenolic compounds play key roles in plant defense and wine quality. Composition depends on factors such as maturity and infections such as grey mold caused by Botrytis cinerea. Grapevines respond to infections by actively modifying their phenolic profile.

Abstract Choosing an appropriate analyzer to measure concentrations of oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) during biogeochemical cycling studies can be difficult, considering the range of options available. While several studies examine the abilities of specific analyzers, comparison of multiple analyzers and environmental sample types is lacking.

Background Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is a rare and devastating tauopathy with limited global data. Given India's large population, genetic diversity, and clinical heterogeneity, large multicenter datasets are crucial to enrich global understanding of PSP. Objective To characterize the demographic, clinical, and phenotypic profiles of a large

ABSTRACT The EAC‐1A lunar mare simulant, a silty sand, was selected by the European Astronaut Center (EAC) for use in the LUNA analogue facility's lunar simulation testbed. Its stress‐ and strain‐dependent shear modulus and damping ratio were determined via resonant column testing on specimens prepared either from ambient moisture material or oven ...

Research of resonant motion of Apollo asteroids with inner planets
We study the resonant motion of Apollo asteroids with inner planets (Venus, Earth, Mars). It is shown that 1760 among 2026 Apollo asteroids move in resonance with one, two or three inner planets.

Estimating the critical angle of top near‐surface layers on the Moon
Abstract Near‐surface characterization of the lunar subsurface is essential for future exploration and infrastructure development, particularly for the construction of underground habitats that provide protection against radiation and micrometeorites. However, conventional seismic approaches for estimating subsurface properties typically rely on prior ...

Heterogeneous preferences for use and non‐use values provided by insects
Abstract Public support is essential for reversing insect declines, yet conservation efforts often focus on instrumental values, particularly pollination and pest regulation, while overlooking the many and varied cultural ecosystem services that may underpin broader public support for conservation.

For three collections of Irish Pyrenopeziza brassicae populations fungicide sensitivity status to methyl benzimidazole carbamate (MBC), quinone outside inhibitor (QoI) and succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor (SDHI) fungicides was determined using sensitivity screening in vitro. Molecular mechanisms of insensitivity have been identified for MBC and QoI in

Mediterranean tropical‐like cyclones show a clear seasonality, with September cyclones exhibiting the deepest convection and Ianos representing the most extreme case. While one or more dry intrusions are typically detected during the cyclone life cycle, Ianos instead features two much weaker descending airflows.
