Dynamic Modeling of Supercapacitor Self‐Discharge Through a Solar Cell in Photosupercapacitor Systems

In photosupercapacitor configurations, the supercapacitor discharges through the solar cell under dark conditions without load. If the supercapacitor voltage overcomes the threshold voltage of the cell (VSC > VON), the cell becomes forward‐biased and its impedance |Z| drops, allowing the flow of a reverse current.
