On the apparent permeability of regular arrays of nonuniform fibers

Numerical calculations for fluid flow across arrays of fibers of equal as well as of varying size have been carried out for conditions of creeping flow as well as for conditions of flow with substantial inertia. Based on numerical results for pressure drop and flow rate we compute the apparent hydraulic permeability of many such arrays.
