Prey Range and Voracity of Main Insect Natural Enemies of Pests in Corsican Clementine Orchards

open access: yesEntomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, Volume 174, Issue 8, Page 851-862, August 2026.
To assess the biocontrol potential on the main arthropod pests of clementine orchards in Corsica, laboratory experiments were carried out using five potential predators. Their prey range and voracity were tested on three pest species. Then, a global predation rate index was calculated at the scale of the entire community of insect predators.

Beneath the Bark: Molecular Determinants of Adaptation and Infection in Bacterial Pathogens of Woody Hosts

open access: yesMolecular Plant Pathology, Volume 27, Issue 8, August 2026.
Bacterial pathogens colonise woody hosts by integrating metabolic adaptation, effector‐mediated immune suppression, cell wall remodelling and EPS‐ and toxin‐supported persistence. ABSTRACT Bacterial pathogens of woody plants represent a pervasive yet underexplored threat to global agriculture and forestry, causing devastating diseases in fruit trees ...

Genomic forecasting for climate‐resilient fruit trees

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 251, Issue 4, Page 1640-1653, August 2026.
Genomic offset and required evolutionary changes under climatic shifts. Summary Fruit trees – long‐lived perennial crops cultivated for their edible fruits or nuts and frequently propagated clonally – are increasingly exposed to climate extremes that threaten their productivity and survival.

Automatic Kiwifruit Segmentation From Terrestrial LiDAR Point Clouds for Precision Agriculture

open access: yesTransactions in GIS, Volume 30, Issue 5, August 2026.
ABSTRACT With the advancement of automation in agriculture, the determination of the health status of fruits, yield estimation, and the realization of automated harvesting have become critical applications in precision agriculture. In this context, accurate extraction of the spatial information of fruits plays a vital role.
