Abstract A study has been made of an apple orchard presumed contaminated by arsenic from an adjacent sawmill. Arsenic concentrations in the soil, trees and fruit in the contaminated area were found to be elevated. There was visible evidence of damage to trees and yields from those more affected were diminished.
