Monocular vision based indoor simultaneous localisation and mapping for quadrotor platform [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
An autonomous robot acting in an unknown dynamic environment requires a detailed understanding of its surroundings. This information is provided by mapping algorithms which are necessary to build a sensory representation of the environment and the ...

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Application of Mapping Method in Sociology

open access: yesSocial Sciences, 2012
Straipsnyje pristatomas kokybinio tyrimo metodas - Šeimos žemėlapis (Levin, 1990), siejamas su simbolinio interakcionizmo tradicija ir interpretacine metodologija. Šeimos žemėlapio metodas - išplėstinis interviu, pasižymintis tiriamojo apibūdinimų vizualizacija, trianguliacija, verbalinės ir neverbalinės informacijos derinimu bei tiriamojo įveiklinimu.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
