Multimodal Mechanical Testing of Additively Manufactured Ti6Al4V Lattice Structures: Compression, Bending, and Fatigue

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this experimental study, the mechanical properties of additively manufactured Ti‐6Al‐4V lattice structures of different geometries are characterized using compression, four point bending and fatigue testing. While TPMS designs show superior fatigue resistance, SplitP and Honeycomb lattice structures combine high stiffness and strength. The resulting

Evolution of Regional Innovation Strategies Towards the Transition to Green Energy in Europe 2014–2027

open access: yesEnergies
This paper explores the factors influencing regions’ commitment to the EU’s green energy transition during the 2021–2027 period, with a particular focus on the impact of prior commitments and fossil fuel dependence.

Sustainable Synthesis of Bio‐Based Magnetic and Conductive Wood for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A wood‐based magnetic and conductive material called Magwood (MW), capable of blocking almost 99.99% of electromagnetic waves (in the X‐band frequency range), is synthesized using a simple, solvent‐free process. MW is lightweight, resists water, and is flame‐retardant, making it a promising alternative for shielding electronics. The rapid proliferation

On quasi-similarity and ω-hyponormal operators [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2007
In this paper, it is shown that a Putnam-Fuglede type commutativity theorem holds for \(\omega\)-hyponormal operators, the normal parts of quasi-similar \(\omega\)-hyponormal operators are unitarily equivalent and a \(\omega\)-hyponormal spectral ...

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Composition and Resulting Band Alignment at the TiO2/InP Heterointerface: A Fundamental Study Combining Photoemission Spectroscopy and Theory

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The chemical composition and band alignment are systematically investigated at the TiO2/InP heterointerface. Thin TiO2 films are deposited by ALD on atomically ordered, P‐terminated p‐InP(100). By combining UPS, XPS, and ab initio molecular dynamics, the atomistic structure and electronic alignment are revealed.

A Fixed-Point Chatterjea–Singh Mapping Approach: Existence and Uniqueness of Solutions to Nonlinear BVPs

open access: yesMathematics
This paper introduces an application of the Chatterjea–Singh fixed-point theorem to nonlinear boundary value problems (BVPs). We define a Chatterjea–Singh mapping as one whose iterate Tp satisfies a Chatterjea-type contractive condition.

Dynamic graphs, community detection, and Riemannian geometry

open access: yesApplied Network Science, 2018
A community is a subset of a wider network where the members of that subset are more strongly connected to each other than they are to the rest of the network.

Saddle-shaped positive solutions for elliptic systems with bistable nonlinearity

open access: yesMathematics in Engineering, 2020
In this paper we prove the existence of infinitely many saddle-shaped positive solutions for non-cooperative nonlinear elliptic systems with bistable nonlinearities in the phase-separation regime.
