X‐Ray Tomography Analysis of Damage Mechanisms in Metal Matrix Syntactic Foams During Compression
In situ synchrotron X‐ray tomography is used to investigate the internal damage mechanisms of AlSi12 metal matrix syntactic foam with ceramic hollow spheres during compressive loading. It is concluded that a homogeneous distribution of the second‐phase filler material results in a sequential collapse in a localized region; this leads to controlled and ...

A discrete algebraic framework for stochastic systems which yield unique and exact solutions
Many physical systems exhibit random or stochastic components which shape or even drive their dynamic behavior. The stochastic models and equations describing such systems are typically assessed numerically, with a few exceptions allowing for a ...

An Inkjet‐Printed Platinum‐Based Temperature Sensing Element on Polyimide Substrates
An inkjet‐printed, meander‐structured, nanoparticle platinum‐based resistive temperature sensors on polyimide substrates are demonstrated as proof‐of‐concept. Optimized sintering at 250°C enables stable conductive structures. The Pt100‐ and Pt1000‐type sensors exhibit linear resistance–temperature characteristics with stable TCR in the 20°C–80°C range,
