Convergence acceleration of series through a variational approach [PDF]
By means of a variational approach we find new series representations both for well known mathematical constants, such as $\pi$ and the Catalan constant, and for mathematical functions, such as the Riemann zeta function. The series that we have found are all exponentially convergent and provide quite useful analytical approximations.

Effect of time dependent viscosity and radiation efficacy on a non-Newtonian fluid flow
In the present article we have studied the radiation effects on the flow of a viscoelastic fluid flow past a spongy plate by considering the viscosity as variable.

Riga – Plate flow of γ Al2O3-water/ethylene glycol with effective Prandtl number impacts
In many industrial processes, the cooling process can be improved by varying the flow geometry or changing the additives in the working fluid. The present work concentrates on the flow of γ Al2O3 –Water/Ethylene Glycol over a Gailitis and Lielausis ...

Non-local interaction in discrete Ricci curvature-induced biological aggregation
We investigate the collective dynamics of multi-agent systems in two- and three-dimensional environments generated by minimizing discrete Ricci curvature with local and non-local interaction neighbourhoods.

Mathematics: abstraction and reality. A sketch toward deeper analysis [PDF]
This paper establishes grounds for deeper exploration into the question of dual nature of mathematics as an abstract discipline and as a concrete science. It is argued, as one of the consequences of the discussion, that the division into "pure" and "applied" mathematics is artificial.
