500-W Average Power, 100-mJ level Pulse Energy by Q-switched 7x7 Multicore Fiber Lasers [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
This work focuses on achieving high peak and average power through incoherent beam combination of Q-switched 49-core fiber laser. Results show 1.5-MW peak power, and 502-W average power between 1-10 kHz.

Effects of Laser Plasma Formation on Quasi-Phase Matching of High-Order Harmonics from Nanoparticles and Atoms

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2019
The application of nanoparticles (NPs) and quasi-phase matching (QPM) each play an important role in the enhancement of high-order harmonics (HHG) of ultrashort laser pulses.

Phase-shift mask fabrication at micrometric scale by ion-exchange in glass for astronomical wavefront sensors [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2020
Photolithography combined with ion-exchange in glass is a well-known technology that can be applied to develop many different optical devices. In this work, we present the complete procedure to generate small circular phase-shift masks with diameters of ...

Angularly selective thermal emitters for deep subfreezing daytime radiative cooling

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2022
We theoretically analyze the impact of angular selectivity on the radiative cooling performance of thermal emitters. We investigate the effect of spectral selectivity, environmental conditions, and parasitic heating on the minimum possible equilibrium ...

Strain‐Programmable Luminescent Adhesive Patch With Tartrazine‐Mediated Optical Skin Clearing for Photochemical Tissue Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Speckle‐Engineered Upconversion Amplification in Nanoemulsion‐Templated Hydrogel Microdomes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nanoemulsion‐confined PEGDA microdomes generate speckle‐like excitation fields that strongly amplify upconversion luminescence upon dehydration, enabling filter‐free visible readout with reversible on–off switching. DMD‐based lithography yields scalable, shape‐programmable arrays for moisture‐responsive displays and optical encryption.
