NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

High-purity single photons obtained with moderate-NA optics from SiV center in nanodiamonds on a bullseye antenna

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2021
Coherent exchange of single photons is at the heart of applied quantum optics. The negatively-charged silicon vacancy center in diamond is among most promising sources for coherent single photons.

Regular Nanowire Formation on Fe-Based Metal Glass by Manipulation of Surface Waves

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2021
We report the formation of a sole long nanowire structure and the regular nanowire arrays inside a groove on the surface of Fe-based metallic glass upon irradiation of two temporally delayed femtosecond lasers with the identical linear polarization ...

Biodegradable and Recyclable Luminescent Mixed‐Matrix‐Membranes, Hydrogels, and Cryogels based on Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks and Biopolymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

Accelerated nonlinear interactions in graded-index multimode fibers

open access: yesNature Communications, 2019
Multimode optical fibers can be used to observe complex intermodal processes like optical solitons. Here, Eftekhar et al. study accelerated nonlinear interaction in multimode fibers with a tapered core diameter and its effect on the temporal and spectral

Nonlinear polarization holography of nanoscale iridium films

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2023
Attosecond nonlinear polarization spectroscopy designates the subcycle-precise retrieval of the electric field of a femtosecond laser pulse together with the nonlinear polarization response that the laser pulse triggers in a sample.

Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

Optical anisotropy of black phosphorus by total internal reflection

open access: yesNano Materials Science, 2019
Although abundant research on the anisotropy of van der Waals (vdW) materials has been published, we undertake an in-depth study of their optical properties as they have an important guiding role for light control in two-dimensional (2D) nanospace. As an
