INVARIANT MEASURES OF STOCHASTIC PERTURBATIONS OF DYNAMICAL SYSTEMS USING FOURIER APPROXIMATIONS [PDF]
We consider dynamical system τ : [0, 1] → [0, 1] and its stochastic perturbations [Formula: see text], N ≥ 1. Using Fourier approximation, we construct a finite dimensional approximation PN to a perturbed Perron–Frobenius operator. Let [Formula: see text] be an invariant density of τ and [Formula: see text] be a fixed point of PN.

Removing Oxide Layers and Retaining Oxide‐Free Steel Surfaces by Polishing in Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
In this study, the efficacy of wet mechanical polishing under an oxygen‐free atmosphere for deoxidation and the retention of an oxide‐free steel surface are elucidated using X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The methodology proved successful; however, the results were highly dependent on the preparation of the solvents used to clean the samples after ...

Measurement and self-adjoint operators [PDF]
The approximations of classical mechanics resulting from quantum mechanics are richer than a correspondence of classical dynamical variables with self-adjoint Hilbert space operators.

Do not let thermal drift and instrument artifacts deceive high‐temperature nanoindentation results. We compare classical Oliver–Pharr and automatic image recognition analyses across steels and a Ni alloy to quantify these effects. Accounting for artifacts reveals systematic softening with temperature, while Cr and Ni additions boost resistance ...

Education and Attitudes Toward Migration in a Cross Country Perspective
The paper examines the dynamics of native populations’ opposition to migration and the role of education in shaping such opposition in European countries using data from the last four editions of the European Social Survey between years 2010 and 2016. We

A Realist Interpretation of the Quantum Measurement Problem
A new, realist interpretation of the quantum measurement processes is given. In this scenario a quantum measurement is a non-equilibrium phase transition in a ``resonant cavity'' formed by the entire physical universe including all its material and ...

Viktoriia Shtefan, Thorgund Nemec, Ute Hempel, Annett Gebert and coworkers demonstrate that anodic treatment of Ti–Cu‐based metallic glass in a nontoxic pyrophosphate electrolyte forms a protective bilayered Ti/Zr‐oxide film enriched with Cu nanocrystals.
