Padé approximation and gaussian quadrature

Bulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 1974
For certain types of formal power series, including the series of Stieltjes, we prove that the [n, n+j], j ≥ −1, Padé approximants coincide with certain gaussian quadrature formulae and hence, convergence of these approximants follows immediately.

Asymptotic approximations from quadrature rules

Physical Review A, 1992
We examine the ability of one- and two-point Gauss-Laguerre quadratures in correctly describing the asymptotic behavior of Fourier transforms. We illustrate the effectiveness of this method with the example of the neon atomic form factor and compare it to the results obtained from the familiar expansion in terms of inverse powers of the independent ...

Quadrature approximation properties of the spiral-phase quadrature transform

2011 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2011
The notion of the 1-D analytic signal is well understood and has found many applications. At the heart of the analytic signal concept is the Hilbert transform. The problem in extending the concept of analytic signal to higher dimensions is that there is no unique multidimensional definition of the Hilbert transform.

Cross approximation-based quadrature filter

2016 IEEE 55th Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), 2016
The Gauss-Hermite quadrature filter (GHQF) can achieve arbitrary degree of accuracy and high stability, but it suffers from heavy computational burden. Alternative high accurate filters, such as high-degree cubature Kalman filter (CKF) and high-degree sparse-grid quadrature filter (SGQF), can greatly reduce the computational cost but may have stability
