Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Spline-interpolation solution of a plane Stefan problem [PDF]
We construct a spline-interpolation solution of the 2D Stefan problem. We reduce it to the set of boundary value problems for analytic functions and integral equations.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

ε-solutions for quasi-variationalinequalities
Approximate solutions for quasi-variational inequalities and for vector quasi-variationalinequalities have been recently investigated by the speaker. In this talk, we introduce and analyze the corresponding concepts of well-posedness and discuss about the

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

The fractional Rosenau–Hyman model and its approximate solution
A relatively new method called q-Homotopy Analysis Method (q-HAM) is adopted in this paper to obtain an analytical solution of the time fractional Rosenau–Hyman equation in series form. Our analysis shows the simplicity nature of the application of q-HAM
