Parallel approximate string matching applied to occluded object recognition
This thesis develops an algorithm for approximate string matching and applies it to the problem of partially occluded object recognition. The algorithm measures the similarity of differing strings by scanning for matching substrings between strings.

Bone cancer pain and depression share a common origin: astrocytic A2‐to‐A1 transition in the posterior piriform cortex. This phenotypic shift disrupts the ATP–adenosine–A2AR–norepinephrine axis, simultaneously driving nociceptive and affective dysfunction.

Approximate string matching with stuck address bits
A string S∈Σm can be viewed as a set of pairs {(si,i)∣si∈S,i∈{0,…,m−1}}. We follow the recent work on pattern matching with address errors and consider approximate pattern matching problems arising from the setting where errors are introduced to the ...

ABSTRACT The muscle capsule of Trichinella is a critical structure that impedes immune attacks and drug penetration, yet the molecular mechanisms underlying its formation remain poorly understood. Using a high‐quality super‐pangenome comprising 12 Trichinella species, we compared extensive genomic variations between encapsulating and non‐encapsulating ...

Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence
Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.

Database Index for Approximate String Matching
In this work the database index for approximate string search is proposed. In particular the task of finding strings from some data domain which have a distance from given string less than given number is considered. Some kind of editorial string distance is used in capacity of string distance.

An integrated computational screening strategy identified ursolic acid (UA) and 18β‐glycyrrhetinic acid (18βGA) as a self‐assembling food‐derived molecular pair. The resulting carrier‐free nanoparticles (UA‐18βGA) showed synergistic antiparasitic activity, reduced combined toxicity, and host‐protective anti‐inflammatory effects in zebrafish and murine ...

Faster Filters for Approximate String Matching
We introduce a new filtering method for approximate string matching called the suffix filter. It has some similarity with well-known filtration algorithms, which we call factor filters, and which are among the best practical algorithms for approximate ...

Efficient Screening of Organic Singlet Fission Molecules Using Graph Neural Networks
A high‐throughput screening framework based on graph neural networks (GNNs) and multi‐level validation facilitates the identification of singlet fission (SF) candidates. By efficiently predicting excitation energies across 20 million molecules, and integrating TDDFT calculations, synthetic accessibility assessments, and GW+BSE calculations, this ...
