Stein's method, Palm theory and Poisson process approximation
The framework of Stein's method for Poisson process approximation is presented from the point of view of Palm theory, which is used to construct Stein identities and define local dependence.

Approximating Approximate Distance Oracles
Given a finite metric space $(V,d)$, an approximate distance oracle is a data structure which, when queried on two points $u,v \in V$, returns an approximation to the the actual distance between $u$ and $v$ which is within some bounded stretch factor of the true distance.

ABSTRACT Introduction Neuroblastoma (NB) with central nervous system (CNS) metastases is rare at diagnosis, but occurs more often during relapse/progression. Patients with CNS metastases face a dismal prognosis, with no standardized curative treatment available.

Approximate approximations on nonuniform grids
We present an extension of approximate quasi-interpolation on uniformly distributed nodes, to functions given on a set of nodes close to an uniform, not necessarily cubic, grid.

ABSTRACT Background We describe clinical and biologic characteristics of neuroblastoma in older children, adolescents, and young adults (OCAYA); describe survival outcomes in the post‐immunotherapy era; and identify if there is an age cut‐off that best discriminates outcomes.

The problem of finding a $k \times k$ submatrix of maximum volume of a matrix $A$ is of interest in a variety of applications. For example, it yields a quasi-best low-rank approximation constructed from the rows and columns of $A$.

Developmental Disorders in Children Recently Diagnosed With Cancer
ABSTRACT Neurocognitive deficits in adult survivors of childhood cancer are well established, but less is known about developmental disorders (DD) arising shortly after cancer diagnosis. Using 2016–2019 linked Ohio cancer registry and Medicaid data, we compared DD among 324 children with cancer and 606,913 cancer‐free controls.

The theorem about the transformer excitation current waveform mapping into the dynamic hysteresis loop branch for the sinusoidal magnetic flux case [PDF]
This paper analyses aspects of the approximation theory application on the certain subsets of the measured samples of the transformer excitation current and the sinusoidal magnetic flux.

ABSTRACT Background B‐cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (B‐LBL) represents a rare variety of non‐Hodgkin lymphoma, with limited research on its biology, progression, and management. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical characteristics of 256 patients aged ≤18 years who received treatment under the China Net Childhood Lymphoma (CNCL)‐
